I am so excited to announce that my latest pattern is ready, and I've decided to give it away for free.
If your little girl takes dance then you will be so excited to find out that you can make those cute little jazz shorts yourself. And you can use cuter fabric than anyone has seen.
Hint, hint: all of these shorts were made with high-quality knits from The Fabric Fairy. This is my treasured site for the best knits around. If you remember, they sent me the fabric for Chloe's Olivia the Pig Outfit. The company just changed ownership, but the new owner Megan is very sweet and helpful. I can't wait to see all the new fabrics she's putting up.

I just found this adorable knit which would make another pair of super trendy jazz shorts:
Or, if your dance studio has a strict dress code, you can make standard ones too.
This is a very easy pattern that can be made using any knit fabric that has lycra. Swimsuit fabrics work great. In fact, when I get a little time (haha) I'm planning on making swim tops that match these babies so my girls can swim in them.
Dancing around the house always works too.

Oh those are just too cute! Love the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteHi, I would love to make these! I have 2 daughters both in dance and gymnastics (and a third daughter who isn't old enough yet). I tried the download earlier tonight and just went back to try again, but I can't get it to work. I will try again tomorrow. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJamie Lee- Sorry about that. Use one of the links above to take you to the freebies page on my website (www.carolinafairdesigns.com/freebies), then click on the Jazz Shorts Pattern Picture to download. The file is 2.12MB so it might take a few minutes. If you still can't get it to work, email me at caroline@carolinafairdesigns.com and I'll send it to you. Thanks for reading!
